lulu_67: Southbay, CALIFORNIA, United States; Hey there, Hi there! ...I started sewing when I was fairly young. My Grandma Lula (I was named after her -lol!) was a seamstress for Catalina Swimwear back in the day for about 35 years or more. She taught me how to do basic sewing and I tortured my barbies with ridiculous outfits-Ha!. Anyway, my dearest Grandma Lu passed away in 1990 when I was in my early 20's. I didn't really start sewing quilts and such until recently, in the last few years, and I have to say, it has become a bit of a passion of mine now -Lol!. I always think of her as I sit at the machine and the way she would just breeze through sewing a whole outfit for me or someone for something and of course my beloved bathing suits (those were cool! I always had the coolest suits on the block ;) I really hope she would approve of my sewing ;) She always made sewing look sew easy. ;) I must say, I think I am getting better as time goes by. I know I'm enjoying it- that's for sure, and that's what matters, right?
